Panasonic unveiled a series of products that highlighted its themes of sustainability and evolving consumer needs.
Focusing on its Panasonic Green Impact Initiative, the company announced a variety of tech products and partnerships at its CES 2024 press conference. The sustainable developments — where the company by 2035 and net zero by 2050, focus on the notion of a circular economy, where sustainability is considered from the gestation to the recyling of a new product.
Hirotoshi Uehara, a Panasonic executive, said, “We have responsibility to make people’s lives better while reducing their carbon footprint” and using fewer resources.
Megan Pollock, vice president of branding and strategic marketing communications, said Panasonic is working on Kinari, an engineered replacement for plastics, a well-known pollutant. Kinari is biodegradable, made up of 85% cell materials. It’s also recyclable.

The company is weaving horizontal technologies like AI through its product line.
As an example, Panasonic teamed up with smart kitchen company Fresco to bring AI-powered cooking assistant to the market. Panasonic kitch appliances like the Panasonic HomeCHEF 4-in-1 multi-oven will showcase the AI technology.
On another front, Panasonic will showcase Olympic Champion Katie Ledecky teamed up to take students and educators to Japan and explore global innovations in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The program is STEM Forward, and it was created with edtech leader Discovery Education. The new Innovators for I VirtualmpactField Trip (VFT) is designed to inspire educators and students to be innovative.
On the cute gadget front, Panasonic announced the Palm Shaver and New Multishape attachments in the area of personal care, which Panasonic has focused on for 65 years. It has attachments like an eye-brow trimmer that can adapt to five-bladed compact shaver to do new tasks. It was billed as the last grooming device you will ever need.
Panasonic also partnered with Amazon Fire TV to deliver new experiential value for smart TVs.
Panasonic Entertainment & Communication Co. is working with Amazon.com Serviceswhich in a license agreement for Fire TV, aimed at developing a television that provides an unprecedented visual experience.
Panasonic new flagship OLED TVs, the Z95A (65 inches) and Z93A (77 inches) with Amazon Fire TV built into them for 2024. On the car front, Panasonic announced the 2025 Infiniti will feature premium Klipsch Reference Premiere Audio System, powered by Panasonic.
As Panasonic is a big camera company too, it announced its newest Lumix S 100mm F2.8 MACRO (S-E100) lens based on the L-Mount system standard. Compact and lightweight to match the camera body, the S-E100 lens joins the Lumix S Series lineup which is designed to address the demand for accessible yet professional grade photography gear.
And Panasonic announced its new Shelf Speaker System (SC-PM270) designed to offer premium sound quality for any environment in a sleek, streamlined body. Key features include: compact, yet clear sound. The speakers feature 10cm full-range drivers with bass reflex ports to comfortably deliver 20 watts of stereo sound.
