    Microsoft and PNNL team up to build better batteries using AI

Microsoft and the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) have announced a new multi-year collaboration to accelerate scientific discovery and sustainable energy research using artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

    Their tool of choice? Microsoft’s Azure Quantum platform is a sophisticated blend of AI and quantum computing designed to accelerate the typically slow pace of materials research.
